Hello, this is my first post !

I'm currently in the process of looking for a car for my parents and I found one that i find interesting.
I like the color, trim and there is a reasonable amount of invoices covering the last 15 years.

The car is quite far from where I leave (I'm in Paris, France) so i asked for in depth pictures of the car.

May I ask you what you think of it ? Regarding rust maybe ? Or anything else ?

Should I ask for other specific pictures ?

Thank you very much for any inputs/help !

Here is the link to the google drive album

Welcome.
Looks nice need to get under it and check for rust that has been covered over with stone chip etc.
You can't take that into the Paris low pollution zone inside the A86 ring:eek:
Personally I'm not a fan of the V8, too fragile for my liking, so you need to test the motor.
Others with specific knowledge will be along soon.
Il doit faire très chaud à Paris aujourd'hui, c'est assez mauvais ici à la campagne 36.5C:eek:

Difficult to be sure of the model year due to the angle the pic has been taken, but my guess is a late hard-dash ?
I disagree with Datatek (sorry 'D') that the V8 is fragile, though despite the obsolete design you do need to keep on top of the maintenance & the later capacities (3.9ltr. onwards) can be prone to liner slip.
The main issue is corrosion of the shell, inner wings, sills (structural) top/bottom tailgates, pillars, bulkheads ... how much time have you got ?
The good news is that, unlike their LR brethren, the chassis normally fares quite well.

Viscous couplings can gradually seize up, along with the Hi-Lo transfer lever especially if used infrequently, the electrics are pretty straightforward though they did get more complex as time went on.

Do a search on this forum & take someone with you who understands these old stagers, find a good one (difficult) & you will have an appreciating asset that you will enjoy driving.
Good luck :)

Looks nice but what engine is it?

@jesuisrelou. J'ai un client qui achète une 1985 3.5 V8. Il planté plein l'argent dans la voiture avec beaucoup investi.
Maintenant ça reste dans une garage parce que il consume 18l par 100 et il est Pas heureux:(
