Can't go wrong with NATO? !!!!!!!!!!
Yes you bloody can.
Got mine to stick (eventually) by Hammeriting it prior to application of NATO green. Don't use primer!
See previous post re :NATO green

If you want paint to adhere to the panels that are Birmabright, you'll have to use an etch primer first .

I hand painted my Land Rover using Tekoloid coach paint in Sandglow (Land Rover paint code LRC361) this is the colour the Camel Trophy vehicles were painted. I bought it from Breakwells Paints Ltd. tel: 01922 400 444, they do a mail order service and are very helpful. Some people say that with a good brush, coach paint can produce a finish close to that of a spray job - don't believe it. I am pleased with the job but you can certainly see the brush marks. I have used Dulux gloss in the past - it goes on well, and is tough once it has set, but fades after about 2 years and starts peeling off after about 7 years (I did key the surface before painting).

Even exterior quality stuff? i have some paint for ally garage doors, and wanted to attack me ally transit body with it and a roller.

About 2 months ago i repainted my SWB series 3 in limestone and bronze green, looks great now, I used synthetic coach enamel off landroverspares.co.uk. I a small paint roller to do it with, came up a treat, you don't get brush marks and its a piece of ****.
