A nightmare in the making

Hi everyone I posted a few years back how I had vacuumed my chassis out with a Henry hoover, at the time I ended up with a sugar bag full of crap. After work today I thought I’ll hoover the chassis out again (I have small hose attachments to get into the small holes as well however I used the big black pipe from the back and got about 2 meters into the chassis from where the wiring loom goes into the back and went to pull it out and the pipe snapped inside my chassis my heart was racing so fast, I managed to get a pair of small grips just about caught it with my fingers and wiggled it out, for a moment I thought I was doomed and my landy would have a hoover pipe stuck in there for the rest of its life, here is a picture of what came out this time. Now get an extension lance and spray the inside of the chassis with your favourite rust prevention product.

Thanks guys, not as much came out as when I did it a couple of years back so it must of done some good, I have a compressor on order so going to put the hoover running at the back and blow the chassis from front to back to try and get as much as possible out of there before treating the inside

you won’t need to Hoover at the back, most compressors will easily blast cavity wax from the front to waay out the back. I would suggest a plastic tarp instead so you don’t end up with cavity wax all over your driveway!

Flat I meant with a long nose air duster attached to the airline, I could blow any remaining dirt/rust flakes etc inside the chassis towards the rear and catch it at the back with the hoover (hopefully)

Aah I see. Before spraying in the cavity wax, good idea
