You're a bit thin skinned for a chapter member ...

so that's sorted then ...

My 4.6 1999 is misfiring, but only a little bit . checked with the nano with which it give options as to engine tune, I have a vague feeling the engine tune was for 4.0 . I'm going to reset to original factory settings with the nano for a 4.6 . The rubber pipe petrol filler was old, replaced at the garage they said they had to "tilt the reservoir/tank" to fit it, I hope no pipes/tubes got squashed inadvertently thus restricting petrol flow, causing occasional misfires. A MAF change is also on the cards. Which plugs and leads do people on this forum recommend for my 1999 4.6 HSE just done 32000 kms about 19840miles, plugs leads coils ? Also where is the ECU for the engine located Please?

You can clean the MAF sensor with isopropyl alcohol and care - much cheaper than replacing it. I posted on here about how I did it on our 4.0 last year.
Try checking your plug leads with an earth cable probe to the plug and coil ends - if there is a track out causing a misfire you will see / hear it that way. Bear in mind a single lead tracking out drops 2 cylinders as it runs on a wasted spark system.

Many thanks for the advices above, good to find the ECU, I was worried it was under the seat. In my 1997 2.5 it is next to the battery. So was shocked when I ouldn't find one on the 4.6 ! Any recommendations for BEST Plugs. Leads, ?? Thanks for the tip on the MAF. and tip on checking the plugs.
