I wouldn’t bother with any of the LR versions to be honest. They were well into making the L322 before they bothered to fix the issue. Even then at a hysterical price. Scandalous
+1,if you don't mind having two fobs go for the remote jog switch, they can be bought off the Bay for less than£5 if you can wait for it to be posted or less than£15 for two days delivery from this country.

Fair enough I’m guessing the (green dot) versions not a guaranteed fix then .?? Glad you’ve said as I’m at Landrover main dealer tomorrow with the disco and they actually quoted £220 so I was considering picking one up.

I bought a new genuine receiver from Island 4x4 a few years ago. They still have them at £199+VAT https://www.island-4x4.co.uk/radio-receiver-genuine-ywy500170-latest-spec-p-3612.html
I didn't have issues for years while I lived in a more remote rural area but when I moved to live in a town & had to park on the street I immediately started to encounter the mystery battery drain & became very adept at entering the EKA. A genuine new receiver is expensive but worth as it completely fixes the problem of battery drain.

Right I’ve been in and dropped the disco off so I went to parts whilst I was there and ordered one. It should be here tomorrow and we will see !! Fingers crossed that and the new Battery sort it out.

Ok…..so new battery arrived. Tested and seemed to be charged. I’ve just put the new battery on and now I’m getting the message engine disabled press remote and vehicle won’t start also keys no longer operate central locking. I’m getting a feeling I’ve done something silly ..?

man’s now also says ignition key in when I open the door even though it isn’t.

The key in the ignition message is due to the key sensing flap being stuck, needs a wash out with switch cleaner such as Aero klene 50, do NOT use WD40, that will end up gumming up the lock. As long as the system thinks the key is in when it isn't you will have a problem.
How did you check the battery is charged? If it was looking at the indicator, that shows just one cell and will still be green when the battery is half charged. A new battery should always be charged before fitting as the alternator will take for ever to fully charge a half charged battery leading to premature failure.

That one must just be bad timing then but thanks datatek I’ll Get it cleaned. I put it on charge and an hour later the charger indicator on the charger said it was charged. So assumed it was
