New adventure and new build starts here! Couldn't sit around for much longer without a Landy.

Didn't spend long looking for this one, it just happened to come up at the right time for the right money. Went and picked it up on Saturday! Easy simple stress free drive back, soaked up 300miles like it was nothing. Much easier than the 110! Can't believe the Disco has the same box and same engine as my Defender. Its so much easier to drive.

On to the D2!

Full history back to its first registration, no rot bar some passenger side wheel arch, interior is excellent for the age with all the bells and whistles being an ES Spec. Front sun roof works and leak free, rear sunroof sealed shut.

Exterior is good, no dents, straight body, and the paints is good. Best part it has a Richards galv chassis, rear ARB locker, Ashcroft recon gearbox/TX box, new-ish clutch, OME suspension, polybushed, Baily Morris front prop. Genuine ZU Alloys with brand new Cooper ST Pros (will be for sale soon, too aggressive for my daily driving!) Likely swap those to 33" Toyos or an aggressive ATs

ARB Bumper is nice but I think Ill swap that for something more subtle from DMO or Torque Performance.

Black leather. Will be painting all the creme black + an alcantara headliner.

Quite a few plans for it but want to build a very capable, yet more subtle landy this time round. Something that looks at home in a small village but also happy in 3ft of mud!

Very nice! Someone has put a lot of time and money into that disco. What a find!
Personally, I like the ARB bumper but it’s not to everyone’s liking. I couldn’t find one for love nor money when I had a disco 2 and even looked into getting one in Australia when I visited (the shipping was ridiculous so I knocked that on the head!)

If it’s anything like you did with your 110, this will be a great truck!:cool::cool:

Looks v'nice dude not my cup of tea though as you can probably see from my profile pic Landy...worst bloody vehicle I've ever driven but love it...good to see you back!..

Actually thinking about it my 101 is not the worst vehicle I've driven it was a Commer van where I worked had to move Rams in it from farm to research unit..drove to work in a fully sorted racing Imp...lol

I loved my dodge/ commer van.:)

The problem with Moredun's one was every other f.ucker who drove it parked it nose to the wall cause the steering was so heavy (like my 101) but the bloody thing wouldn't go into reverse easily so it was always left to me...and if you ever drivin a commer van with a huge ram in the back who is not happy to be there it!s not fun...

Ordered some bits!

All oils/filters including some Swepco 712 for the gearbox. Very expensive but it does make a huge difference to gear changes so worth it to me.

New door weather seals, rear ones are tatty

Sold the ARB bumper now to decide Torque Performance or DMO?

A Pillar gauge pod, see how it looks.

Extended HD ARB drop links

New Empire Tuning intercooler in black, start of getting some power back! :D

New leather gaiters

Gas struts, cant be dealing with a manual bonnet

Some Monte Carlo Blue from Buzzweld to sort some paint out

PIO for the interior change it all to black

Also currently drawing up a new water tight airbox to take cone filters with an 89mm intake for the new snorkel and a 89mm outlet, which will lead to a stainless pipe right to the turbo. Stock for now but a VNT will be going in. Will be laser cut from 3mm stainless, miged together with a rubber seal and perspex inspection lid.

While the front ends off going to startd designing a Zunsport style front grill, which ill make at work.

Yeah. Panel filter, even ITG couldnt provide enough free flowing air for the VNT on the 110, swapped that for a larger ITG 300tdi style filter, definitely improved things

Given the limited space in the D2 best option is the biggest cone filter I can fit. Should be enough to feed the VNT.
