Just painted most of my 90 with black raptor bed liner. I know the raptor splits opinions, but mainly for off road, most panels are dented and it would have taken ages and a fair few quid to get to a stage where painting would have been viable. Plus I had two cases of black raptor I got for free.
Anyhow I still have the roof to paint and have been toying with the idea of doing it in a dark green raptor and doing the chequer plate to match, to kind of break up the black. Seen lots of black on green, but can't find any pics of the other way around. May be because it'll look ****?
What are your views?
1.Continue and have the complete vehicle in black raptor.
2. Dark green raptor roof and chequer plate on black vehicle.
3. Any other suggestions welcomed?

Black and red are a good colour combo, red roof and chequer plates?

Got any pictures of what it looks like currently?

I know you said raptor splits opinion (I do not like it as a body paint) and that you have already done it but just for anyone else who finds this thread on painting I disagree with the above. As with the raptor you do not have to remove the dents to paint (I didn't with mine). And similarly with the raptor you will still need to sand, clean and complete all panel prep. The only difference would be applying paint rather than raptor. Also if you spraying skill are not up to paint (raptor is far more forgiving) you can foam roller it which I have done with mine and get a very good finish.

For you actual question I would go green rather than black. you need something to accent the block black.

I think we're agreeing about being able to leave dents. However with the raptor all I had to do was give a quick buff with 120 grit and etch any bare ally. If I'd painted I'd have had to fill, flat, primer (multiple coats), flat, paint (multiple coats), then clear coat. Wich would have cost loads more as I didn't pay for the raptor. And I was able to do it on drive. Given the choice I'd probably have gone green body with black roof and arches, but hey ho, beggers and choosers etc. I like the look of your truck turrican. Grey looks nice. Decided to do all black in the end as I got some more free. May overprint the roof a different colour at a later stage though

My prep for coach enamel sounds about the same as your prep for raptor. Quick buff over with 120grit on a mouse sander, etch primer roller applied and coach enamel roller applied. No filler, no sanding between coats (but yes multiple coats), and no clear coat.

I think a medium / darkish green would look very good. My 90 is green and when it finally should need a respray I'd have it green with a black roof and chequer - like an inverted version of yours.
