Sadly I am in the same boat and rather than fix it my D2 is being scrapped. Lost my patience with the constant maintenance stopping me from using it or my other toys. But if I was sticking with Disco,s it would be the D2 for me hands down.

Landys go through an expensive phase, a D2 will be ~20 years old, it's ineveitable that they will start breaking, the flip side is that after you've got through that troublesome phase tehy settle down, possibly because youve fixed / replaced nearly everything... But still. A D3 isn't as far as I can tell "a happy vehicle", so I doubt one of them would be saving you money.

What's the fault with it, and what is the scrappy offering, I could be interested in a D2 at scrap money, as I'd fix it and run it.
