300tdi restoration

Hi Not posted much on here but looking for any advice out there.
Have ordered a new galvanised chassis from maer in poland and getting a local company to do the swap but would like to upgrade the whole suspenion and braking system and anythig else people have done from a bottom up restoration after i get it back from the chassis swap and could you also advise on whether to keep the bogue self levelling system or can i get rid of it as i dont expect to be carrying anything heavy in future.

Don't upgrade the suspension or brakes. Standard is perfectly fine. Keep it original.

As above, just fit all new suspension parts and brakes. For an every day use truck it's the best but you can do away with the bogue strut [ commonly done ] and if mainly road use fit an ant roll bar.

If you bin the self-levelling unit you must also replace the rear springs as they are a lot softer than the non-assisted suspension.
I had a trials motor built from a shortened Range Rover chassis, I retained the self levelling unit and it worked well in extreme conditions.
