Doing an oil change on my landy. 2.5 petrol, and this was attached to the sump plug, any ideas?

Yep, came from inside the engine, attached to the magnetic sump plug along with the usual swarft.

Could it have been picked up while doing an oil change and screwed back unnoticed?
