Just thought I'd say what a fantastic vehicle my D2 is.
I've been using it as my daily runner back and to from work and as a weekend work-horse for the diy jobs for a few years now.
Yes I have spent some time sorting all the LR design and build issues out initially but I liked doing that and now I can just enjoy it. When I say all I mean all the important ones, less important issues I don't bother with.
Its now a brilliant car and a pleasure to drive.
I prefer it to the defender I had.

Agree 100%!!! Great car to work on, but really, if you sort out several of the Achilles heels, then it's a pleasure to drive and reliable! Great thing is there is lots of info, guides, videos on the web, forums, RAVE and Haynes manuals, and a wide range of relatively (mostly) cheap new (LR, OEM and aftermarket) and used parts. It's also a joy to work on unlike the VW I currently have, and BMW I used to have.
