when I bought my work van about 4 to 5 years ago you could and I did use a UK mot instead of CT test as it had been done less than six months, I think it was a move to except paper work from other EU countries, not sure if they would except it now after brexit, I am working for a German at the moment who is going through the process at the moment I will ask him what he uses,

Europe seems to be going out of its way to be difficult at the moment. I'm expecting a parcel from Sweden but just had an email telling me the tracking number is no longer valid because of Brexit so here's a new one, plus it will now be several days longer. I am guessing it got stopped at a border somewhere.

When you give something up that that was set up to make trade simpler and cheaper you can not be surprised when it gets more complicated and expense can you?

I've found after speaking to a few parts suppliers on blighty that they are reluctant to send parts due to delays and additional time and costs added.
Which is a problem but what can you do... But we can't complain as brexit is done!!
Wtf.... For those who don't rely on a connection to Europe say those who do, continue to whine about it.. But if it affects you in some way....

Stepping down,
Turning around,
Walking away.........

:p

Oh, absolutely. That was expected. However, I believe there's somewhat over diligence going on. Moreover, in some instances the day before it was perfectly safe for object A to pass over the border but the next day object A requires a certificate and quarantine and God knows what else. Where's the science behind that? In 1 day? Even covid doesn't mutate that fast. Nah, it is bloody mindedness and unfortunately doesn't make the British think what a bad decision bit f*ck 'em. Didn't get out soon enough.

You only have to see how badly the peeps pick winners on Dancing on Ice etc to understand how Brexit happened and Boris got elected.

Things were a lot simpler pre EU

There are a lot of scams re delivery at the moment

Do you mean peeps who watch dross like Dancing on Ice and Strictly?? FFS it even makes the national news for weeks after, especially pushed by the BBC :mad::rolleyes:
True, no accounting for taste.
I am only going by what the wife tells me.
some no hope called Boz or Bez or summat who was so crap he had to wear a helmet all the time in case he fell over and hurt himself, was constantly voted back in so decent peeps got the push.
Then they picked the wrong winner cos he was not a foreigner but was a footballer's son!
Big question, can we guarantee the voting population don't watch cr@p? answer, sadly, no!

Too true, and outright theft.
We daren't send anything to our son in Paris anymore, from here. It just get's nicked. Especially as you now have to declare the contents. and pay the customs etc charges. Or he does. He has already paid these charges twice and the parcel never turned up. Ditto other friends in Paris.
Rest of France seems to be OK.

It seems to me some cnut has a mediocre idea and everyone jumps on the bandwagon so rehashed "programs" get churned out, none with any true worth IMHO  Rant over, I'll finish watching the news then continue reading a book.;):D

With the P38, it's easy to mod the UK headlights to move the spike of light from the left to the right, then with minor adjustments they pass.
Bending a tab on the bulb back & rotating it plus final adjustment with a stick-on beam bending lens was how I got mine through the CT.
