What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Got bored waiting for Disco3 parts to arrive, so started the bulkhead sound insulation on the 90…

You have it as well, what is that rubber ring for !? When I got my 110 it had a number plate, is it actually for holding a spare plate for towing ? The insulation looks good, is it closed cell foam foil backed ?

Honestly it’s a mystery what goes in all of the various holes, straps, bungees on the bulkhead - My previous 90 had a tool roll in the webbing strap and a jack in the metal receiver, neither were any use and rattled like buggery. As for the Bungee thing, I used to keep a tow strap held in place with it - don’t know if that’s what it’s for! Might see if my fire extinguisher will fit there….

The insulation is indeed self adhesive closed cell 10mm, looks like unbranded mute mat- tried to burn some and it won’t take so happy to use it. eBay special it was….

S'nice ... seal the joins with alluminium tape. It looks a lot better and stops the buildup of crud in the cracks... £5 a roll on eBay
The sticky back carpet will cover the joins :)

So, after a bit of Googling - the metal bracket hols one end of the black bag that the factory jack comes in - t’other end goes in the webbing strap. Footplate for jack goes in the bottom rubber strap (never had one of those!). Top bungee behind drivers seat remains a mystery…..I’m thinking industrial size Toblerone is favourite….

This will do for now :D !

Bought a job lot of door trim fittings, suspension bolts, new door locks and some other useful bits on eBay for a good price… :)

Fitted Gwyn Lewis front mud flap kit.

Had to remove Dirt Defenders when I fitted rock slider/ side impact sill bars... these work much better, and look Ok too.

Should protect the bulkhead/footwell and cross member from crud build up and road spray.... as well as the door handles.

I'm only running standard rims and 235 tyres, but these would really help if you had wider tyres/offset/spacers.

Went the tip & unloaded it.
heater works.wipers works.no problems(yet)
Mrs decided she wants to drive it today.
So wrap the MIL up & off they go for a day with the horses.
Motor will enjoy the run out
(The cover on the mrs S1 is itching to come off as it’s starting to warm up)

Slow progress - illness, holiday, Disco3 brakes, usual shizzle….

Finally got the wiring sorted for the sub, it’s a meaty sounding unit - mighty impressed.

Bit of carpeting next then seats go back in - might even get to drive it then!

Fitted a new clutch slave cylinder.

I've lost a bit of fluid, which I think might have contaminated the clutch plate, as I experienced a little bit of clutch slip last week  Clutch not that old (about 35K+) and good biting point pedal position. I'm hoping if this has solved the leak then the clutch will keep going.
