Lock issue on freelander2

Hi my car unlocks starts and drives with both keys, the middle lock button on the dash works and the manual key lock (on the passenger door) locks and unlocks the car, but I can’t lock the car with either key fob all of the other buttons work on the fob, has anyone had this before? any suggestions on what’s up or how to fix?

That's very strange.
I'd start by getting a diagnostic done, to see if anything comes up on the receiver module. There's a way to test the key fob commands on some diagnostic equipment, like LR's SDD, but that means a trip to a dealer, unless you can find someone with another diagnostic equipment that can do a function check.

I would go for a new batteries in the remotes first.....cheap enough to try
