Hello all, what is the entry point of the oil that makes its way through the intake system. I want to give it a clean out and stop it from happening again if possible as its coating the maf and sending funny air messages.

A majority comes from the breather, which is downstream of the MAF, so can't get to it.
Does it have an K&N air filter?

K&N filter will make it worse as some are oil coated and can damaged the MAF, are you sure that you are referring to the MAF & not the MAP sensor which can get clogged up with gunk from the intercooler system via the EGR & manifold ?

Yea it's the MAF (front of engine bay inline on the air pipes) the whole inside is coated In thin black oil that drips out of around the hole where the sensor goes through the housing.

I have never known oil to blow back upwards to the MAF ?

Oil can travel through the intercooler pipe to egr etc.

Or are you referring to the inline turbocharger boost temperature sensor.
