Been on the key case with the mini issue looks like I need to buy another ecu with matching keys
bcm, ignition & door lock with a ews3 module, or take it to a bmw dealer to fit a new module then
reprogram it to the car. How many days will I need to bend over to get the dealer to do it.
Full ecu/key sets available for around 100 quid.

visits today so seen son & grandson:)
Also my uncle sounded like everyone was arguing cos of the raised voices, they are all getting a bit mutton and are so vain they don’t wear their hearing aids:rolleyes:
Have come out to top up on the antifreeze but it is starting to get a bit busy so may move on;)
The rental car is nice but it is not giving me my green oval fix:( it’s difficult to bully peeps when you are in an Astra:)
Probably gonna take Mum & Dad for Sunday lunch tomorrow give Mum a day off. Mum reminds me of my Nan always putting huge plates of food in front of me:).

Depending how hard it is to get to the module... eye finks they will charge 2 hours labour + parts.

I had a "Home trip" of 6,000 miles for a farewell to my father and I remember the trip home and back vividly.

I do feel sorry for you over all this.
One minute it is a lost or broken key, then this. Cannot understand it.
I'm just gonna have a quick looksee to see what a Cooper S is going for at the mo,
well i have no idea of the age of yours or if it's convertible or not, but they do go for decent money. According to Autotrader.
so it looks like it is prolly worth doing the key thing. but I would hate to be in your shoes with this electrickery. :(:(:(
