I am trying to repair my 1995 RRC LSE.
Removed the air pump/dryer assembly with the intension of overhauling them. The pump was only raising a pressure of 15PSI so thought that this was a good place to start. Isolated all four spring bag units and the car has stayed up, so all lines and bags are good.
Does anybody know where I can obtain a lead to diagnose and reset the system? I've downloaded the reset suite, but need the lead to connect to the cars diagnostic port.

Any advice much appreciated

I can make the lead if you tell me what connector the EAS has on your car. However, post Brexit I don't know what the tax & duty situation is for stuff entering the UK. If you can solder, I can give you details of the cable for you to make your own. Unless your computer has a serial port, you will also need a USB to RS232 full implementation adaptor.

Many thanks for the info, I will see what the connecter consists of, according to the manual I have its located under the drivers seat. Can't say I'm a dab hand at soldering LOL.
Its actually my brothers car and he was going to have a coil spring conversion done on it. I'd rather he stuck with the EAS if we (namely me) could fix it.
I'll upload an couple of images when I get chance. Thanks again for your help.

It sounds like your main problem is a worn out compressor. If the bags are not leaking, other possible leak points are the diaphragm valve, air tank and line. Just because the car stays up does not mean the bags are not leaking, the leaks have a habit of opening and closing where the bags fold under.

Do these help:

I've ordered a pump repair kit and valve body seal kit, so I'll fit these parts when they arrive. I will bench test the compressor once I have repaired it. I have pin tested all the wires at C331 & C332 connectors and checked the relays and all seems in order. The car was taken to a local LR specialist to get repaired, they just said "Oh its probably the ECU" so clearly not checked the pressure from compressor ? Do specialists find the systems hard work, as they seemed totally uninterested in taking the job on?

Afternoon all.

I have overhauled the EAS compressor and now getting 13.6 bar at the compressor outlet port. So that should be good to go now.
I also resealed the valve body.......what a job that was took me all morning LOL.
Will I need to make the calibration spacers to reset the system when I refit the EAS unit? Or is that only for P38?
Thanks

Spacers are not essential for the P38 or I think for your car, it can be done with a measuring stick wheel centre to wheel arch.
The measurements for the P38 can be found on LZ or I may have them.

Shirley if none of the height sensors have been messed with it should be ok and just fire up the system?
No calibration required?

Cheers

I'll give it a go when I refit the EAS unit (when weather improves) I don't fancy the idea of cutting lengths of tubing to use as spacers..
cheers

Morning all. I have finally refitted the EAS assembly and reconnected all the pipework (that was previously plugged off to all air bags) system will not run? I have pin tested all connectors at C331 ECU connector. I have a few questions about my readings? Pin 8 goes to compressor relay terminal 86 feed side slate/red wire, has no voltage? Also pin 26 Green/slate wire to inlet valve on valve block has 5.8 volts which I think should be 12 volts? Pins 4 5 22 23 have between 1 and 2 volts from height sensor inputs is that what I should expect? The rest of readings are all OK.
If i put a feed to the pump it runs ok ( I bench tested it after repairing it and it had 13.6 bar pressure.) when it stop feed to pump I can hear an air gush from right rear of car, like an exhaust sound?

As always any feedback advise greatly appreciated.
