Still waiting to get battery tested before buying new one.
story so far
in the last couple of weeks when it has been frosty the car has not started first time, all dash lights come on as normal but started fails to turn over and faint clicking noise from front near side can be heard.
after a couple of attempts car starts eventually so thought battery may be in way out hence post about new one.
Since learnt that changing a battery not quite as simple as thought as a new one needs syncing with car and disconnecting old battery may upset electric windows
Which may need calibrating and as I don't have tool to do this so rang my usual garage.
That said may be starter motor so asked if they can test battery first and now waiting for a call back.

If the battery is more than 4 years old, then it's at the end of its useful life in the FL2.

Just replace the battery, and follow the instructions in the owners handbook on window calibration. There's no need for any equipment, it's an easy DIY job to calibrate the windows.;)

Just an update and belated thanks to those who gave advice, many thanks.
Replaced battery on Saturday with a F18 Varta from Tanya, ordered Friday delivered next day and fitted.
Took about 10 minutes to change and cinc Windows as per handbook just need to get rid of old battery now.
