Morning all, help please, Range Rover Vogue TDV8 SE 2010 3.6, when I lock the doors with the key fob the alarm activates not the full alarm horn + indicators this is a very weak siren alarm, unlocking with key fob dissables this alarm but unable to lock it, as this is a keyless entry don't know how to solve the problem can't leave car unlocked but neither can I lock it. Thanks DirkS

First thing to check an any range rover is the battery it must be 100% a ok or they play silly buggers for the hell of it
are you sure there is not a key lock in the door handle under a cover that slide off.

Thanks for your quick response, yes it has a key lock but it's on the passenger side door which doesn't lock the drivers side, don't know if it's relevant but if the key fob is in range of the car it automatically locks after a short period this also activates the siren, if I then open the doors with the key fob open drivers door then take the key fob out of range this doesn't happen, but obviously car not locked, assume the battery is OK no problems starting and car used daily.

They give a short mislock chirp if something is not shut properly.
When you sit in the car and start do you get any messages that something is not closed?

Dont assume anything with a RR and Battery:eek:.

Why is the key slot on the passenger door:confused:.

How long has it been doing this?

J

Is there a battery in the key fob that needs replacing?
Not sure if it was my D2 or L322 that beeped the horn when the battery needed changing.

Quite a few different cars have it on passenger side

Afternoon,

As posted earlier in one of your other threads, have you tried to double press the lock button quickly?

Cheers

My son's Jag XF also has the key slot on left door (and the boot). We discovered it when the boot wiring loom had a fault that prevented fob locking. Car thought the boot was always open !!

Gotta be a Euro or US thing I guess.
