Did you get your speedo sorted?

No idea on the OME spring rate,As I got my OME shocks from Gwynn Lewis, and they are great. Springs I got from Extreme 4x4.

Cheers

No not yet, checked speedo against sat navs on original tyres and speedo spot on, only just got new tyres fitted so will be out after w/end to see what the difference is, then i will know if I am happy with it or if i need to fit a speedo overlay.
Just got OME springs and shocks and they dont seem to give the lift promised, hence the need to find the chart :)

Where did you get the OME stuff from?

OK, so you ordered a certain shock and spring based on something , but now you are not sure if where you ordered it from was the same place you saw the information. Is that what you are saying?

Why not say that , in your post? do you have any specification for the springs and shocks you have? what is wrong with them? exactly?

Cheers

Hi Neilly
Did not put everything in my first post as I thought the reason for wanting the chart was irrelevant, but as you ask.
I spent days trying to find someone with all the parts i needed in stock, I did not want to buy one part from here and another part from there or wait weeks for all the parts to be available, Devon 4x4 had it all.
I found a chart from OME someware, not sure where but I think it was Devon 4x4 as i spent a lot of time on there site, that listed the springs and shocks for a D2 with spring lengths, coil thickness, Hight over standard springs and weight capacity etc.
I used this chart to work out what I thought i needed for a +40mm lift.
Then rang the shop told them what i wanted to do and we compared what I thought I needed to what they thought, everything was the same except the front springs, the person at the shop quoted me the part number for light duty springs but I had the number for medium duty springs, when i queried this they agreed I was right and I needed medium front and rear for a +40mm lift so I made the order.
Wen the parts arrived I had them fitted and that's when i noticed that something did not look right, before anything was fitted i took measurements from the top of both the front and rear bumpers, which was 73cm rear and 63cm front, after the kit was fitted it was 78cm rear and only 65cm front so that's the problem, only 20mm lift at front not the 40mm I expected.
Also as the front is now lower than expected the front tyres rub where they would not if the front was 20mm higher, not a big problem but work that i did not expect to do.

Do you have the std ride hegiht measurement?, you should measure it from the ctr of the wheel to the bottom edge of the wing. It is available in Rave and then go from there. Regarding what measurements you have.

Other than that you need to contact Devon 4x4 and ask them their thoughts. Did they supply what you ordered , or make a mistake and send what they originally suggested?

Cheers

Unfortunately like a plank I forgot to measure from the centreline of the arch to the centre of the wheel before i had the lift fitted , but what you have posted about the measurements is very helpful, you state that the front is approx 500mm and i have just over 500mm so thats worrying, but at the rear you state approx 483mm and i now have 530mm so thats about what i would expect for a +40mm lift.
I need to ring the shop in the morning but can see problems, the invoice just says coil, med, front, and the part number sticker on the springs matches with med duty springs, but there are no part numbers on the invoice.
Yes some, thank you.

Do you have things like a winch or bullbar fitted?
