I have found filtered waste oil mixed in diesel works fine in old engines with inline injection pumps. May even be better than modern diesel, which is very thin, and has veg oil in it.

I would be pretty wary about trying it in modern diesels, though.
Not on the modern car, no chance but on the range maybe. There are a couple of bods who run chip fat with a cocktail. I think finding the right blend with standard diesel is the key to not muck the injectors up.. Black diesel the American folk call it.

There are a lot of people on the cut run chip fat in old engines. They don't do much except filter it, and mix about 20% in the diesel.

I wouldn't risk it myself, my engines are pretty new, and very expensive to replace or repair.

But as far as I can tell, it doesn't seem to do any harm, some of them have been doing it for many years.

Agreed, the more modern stuff may not handle the difference due to many more moving and intricate parts.

ive got an old 3 pot lister in mine according to the manual will run on just about anything that burns

I had a cousin who was head chef at a restaurant in Sheffield and changed his oil in fryers every week . I used to filter it and run my old Disco 50-50 no problem. In hot weather ran 70-30. Very aromatic smells came from my exhaust and caused much delight to local people:D:D

Could get a ex military multi-fuel, runs on virtually any carbon based fuel ... not good for parking in town though :rolleyes:

It probably wouldn't float very well either.

The only trips I make into the extended zone are to my parent's house, which is about 300 yards inside the zone.
If I go further into Town, I go by boat or public transport. Driving in Central London is a mugs game, and always has been.
