Allegedly, leaked documents show that China and the USA were working together on the development of a new Covid type virus not present in nature. If true, that might account for the reluctance to condemn China for the Wuhan leak. Humans love to play with fire.

I believe the US was paying a lab in China to attenuate such a virus so I think there is more than a germ of truth there. See what I did there? Never mind, I'll get me coat ...

With the airbox and battery box out, did cleaning / rust treatment / paint on the inner areas. Looking much better. Got lots of crud off the aircon & PAS pumps as well. Get a good impression for when he's back together and going for the MOT.

I didn't do it today but the 2nd top hose is fitted (sometime during the week) and stopped the engine from overheating. It's not fun when you fit a replacement for the original and it ends up fouling on a pulley that then wears through it. So take 2 but this time with the proper hose and all is finally good. I can't remember if we can do plugs for business but the staff at Island 4x4 were excellent. I contacted them last Monday saying I need the hose PDQ and I had it the following day. Bloody brilliant.
I'm still trying to find someone that is prepared to do solder these wires for me (I physically am not able to do them) but for now we're managing with just a speedometer app for not driving so we don't get the police on us all the time, not that we're driving much at night anyway.
I still need to sort out that weak spark on the back 4 cylinders. I don't fancy trying to remove the old ones and replace the new ones where they aren't easily accessible for me. So I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do there so I welcome any advice there.

Enjoy your Sunday folks.

Craig
