Hi I got myself a Landy Wolf 300 tdi a few months ago and need some advice.

The question I have is regarding the heating system or lack of it! In the engine bay there is a small metal box that is badly corroded that has cables with power entering it and there are cables leaving it without power which go to the motor fan. Is that metal box simply an EMC filter and if it were bypassed would the motor blower unit work normally? I think the EMC filter may have been fitted to stop interference with the bowman radio which has been removed.

Thats too much work @Stanleysteamer

Hi I've loaded up a piccy of the corroded part at first I thought it might have been a 24 v to 12 v dropper but now I'm more inclined to think its is an EMC Filter given the military bowman radio that would have been on the vehicle. The top two lines give the part number for Cogema and the customer part number. I've searched the Cogema part no online without success. The bottom two lines state it is a rated Voltage 24V and rated Current 2x 10A
Thanks

I thought it might have been a 24 V to 12 V dropper to begin with but I'm more inclined to think it is an ECM filter now. It gives the part nos on the label which I cannot source online, then it states it is rated 24 V DC and 2x10A current.

Hi and welcome!

There are quite a few articles online and on here about improving heaters in landies, including fitting new larger heater matrix’ which should help.
