Hi all,

As some of you may know I recently got myself a freelander 1, I was wondering if anyone knew a fix for a dim clock on the console? Its working and in certain lights you can read it but it's just incredibly dim and sometimes completely dark. I dont really want to buy a complete new clock unless I have to. (Its a digital led/LCD type)
Thanks!!

There is a very small wire ended bulb that provides back-light and dips when the car lights are on so as not to distract.
The bulb is accessed by removing the clock trim, then the clock and it is in a twist holder at the rear of the clock.
Ebay sell the 12v mini bulbs.

You can replace the bulb with an led one with a higher equivalent wattage

Quick update on replacement bulbs…. Managed to order 10off from eBay, if when I got it works fine happy to send one to anyone that has a blown bulb for the cost of a stamp.

Ordered these:

12V 100mA 1.2W 5mm Wire Ended lamps NEW Qty.10

Cheers
