My dad passed away in 2019 and now I have his beloved defender 110. Photo included. I'm not actually sure what to do with it. Don't really want to let it go so was wondering if they are worth restoring? It's a D reg and it runs but the bodywork and seating is in a bad way. But I really don't want to scrap it as he really took care of it under the bonnet etc. Any advice would be so welcome. Tammy

Welcome:)

Any landy is worth keeping if you want it;) and of course have space and tools:eek:.
That looks like its been used and a little cared for (as you say underneath) but its all fixable. All the Guys & Gals here will help if you want to keep it.
Good luck on whatever you decide:), but that is NOT scrap:D

Welcome.
If you don't want to let it go , then only you know if it's worth restoring. As it appears to have been off the road for almost 6yrs, you'll need to see what it needs to pass an MoT. Then decide if it's worth it to you.

Can’t really judge them by their cover. Ideally you need someone that knows them to look underneath see what it’s like. Someone that understands what it means to you not one of these fellas starts sucking his teeth with cash offers

Hi and welcome!

It looks like the Landy was your dad’s pride and joy. It is definitely worth putting some money into and getting issues sorted. If you decide to sell, don’t take a low price for it. It is worth much more with an MoT and problems fixed. There is probably someone local who can at least have a quick look over it and let you know where to start.
