Young lady appeared as if from nowhere as I was opening up the workshop at my brothers place this afternoon, hello she said, I'm here to rescue the cats living under the shed over there. They dont need rescuing I said.... she said I'll get them into a home where they'll be safe.... I then asked this thin as a rake pasty faced student type dressed in overalls and a blouse where do you think the cats would rather live, in a cage at one of your homes or free to roam the fields being taught my mummy cat how to fend for them selves..... they may need a vet one day she said..... They'll be good rat catchers one day if you leave them be I said..... Anyway they weren't responding to "Here puss" and went into hiding :)

That's really easy when you're making a Pot Noodle.

...I heard a tune today and it threw me back in time................

It is the Summer of 1986... and I am 31 years old.
I am driving South on Highway 101 to San Jose from Santa-Clara and they are playing Crowded House's "Don't Dream its over" on the local radio station.
The air through the car window is hot & dry and I have the radio on at full tilt and I am singing along at the top of my lungs.
I am on my way home to my family and the coolness of the pool in our back garden. I will stop off for take-out food for us all so wifey does not have to cook.
The boys are all "little-guys" of about 5, 3 and 1.
It has been another good day, I am at the top of my game, the job is challenging but so very rewarding and everything is going so well for me. It seems unreal.
