Hi all, I'm Greg, originally from Bolton but now living in Surrey. I have a Series 3 LWB ex military soft top. I've had it for over 20 years and used it for the War and Peace show, Overlord, camping in the New Forest and a bit of green laning.
Parked it in the garage about 7 years ago and couldn't get it out again, so its been stuck there ever since, About the same time my twins were born, bit of a coincidence! They turned up 2 weeks early as well, I was all loaded up for the Overlord show and never got there
Currently getting it back on the road, plenty of rust but I replaced the engine electrics, starter motor and fuel pump and everything is working so far. Waiting on the pump to carb fuel line, and clutch is stuck at the moment. Hopefully its a stuck pedal or slave cylinder, I'll find out tomorrow.
Found lots of great advice on here for sorting out issues so I thought I'd join.
If anyone has questions about 1980s army kit, vehicle related or otherwise, I have a random selection of kit and books so let me know if you need any information.
