Hi all
Just brought a landrover freelander td4 for all my sins however I'm ready to set the damn thing on fire lol
The freelander is a great starter never misses a beat however if you go out and turn it off it it will either fire up fine or not start I've had to be rescued a couple of times due to this and the damn thing won't bumpstart however when you get it home and leave it a few hours or come to it the next morning it starts up absolutely fine
Can some one please help or has any one had the same problem? I'm clued up on discos but not freelanders
Thank you boyos

Cam position sensor is the likely cause of failure to start when warmed up.
The cam sensor is only used for starting, so if it fails while the engine is hot, it make no difference, as long as the engine remains running. It won't restart when hot, so needs to be left to cool down before it'll start again.

I've changed the cam sensor but it still continues to play up

Are you trying put off the young lady off staying on the forum by using foul language such as Evoque:eek: Han2677 ignore them we can run off together with our Freelanders in front being pushed. While our bulging bloodshot eyes stare at the tailgate window needing cleaning. Dammit I broke a nail typing this.
Here is my current photo of myself to throw darts at:
