Looks like today is air and cabin filter cleaning day for me and @Mark Piercy , after some pretty dusty off roading last week. Fixed a leak (well I hope) on the divers side cabin filter cover that was making my carpet look and smell like a dish sponge! Have a nice weekend all :)

Well i have been stuffed over again by the 3rd dealer who i paid a deposit on at end of January for a P38. Its took him 3 months of hanging me on saying things were getting done on it that needed doing and he has pulled the plug and breeched the sales contract on me and emailed me to say so. He has been avoiding my calls and emails for about 1 month now so i sort of knew something was amiss again. So he refunded my deposit to me today BEFORE emailing me to say he was pulling the plug on the deal. Absolute bang out of order in my book is that sort of behaviour.
His company name is Impression automotive ( Ford Mather is his name ) and he currently has a red P38 Vogue on ebay for £9999. If anyone is doing business with this chap then be careful is all i will say.
I am gutted as this is strike 3 as the last 2 P38's went bad too. I just don't understand why these dealers are so greedy which is all this amounts to at the end of the day. I have been so looking forward to taking delivery of T200LHE Oxford Blue 1999 model Vogue SE its been unreal and i have also been buying bits and bobs for it too which are now again just sat on my garage floor.
I have been told i have legal grounds as he has breeched the sales deal without consulting me FIRST?? so i have emailed him and suggested he compensates me suitably otherwise i will seek advice on Tuesday.
Absolute shower it all is and TBH i just don.t think i will bother anymore looking for a nice P38.

Gutted.

Finally got round to sorting passenger side blend motor . Glove box off motor off new one fitted and now no more book symbol. Only thing is now I'll be forever watching it

@Enthusiastman gutted for you. One day my friend. The right one is waiting out there for you

Keep on looking mate and if you want to use my 95 4.0L while you look ya welcome. She’s not a minter but 100% mechanically. :)

Cheers guys and thanks for the kind offer Rich but i will just pass for now and take stock of things over the next few days. I am starting to get angry now about it all. I have a garage floor full of brilliant P38 bits for sale now. Fully refurbished set of 5 Comet alloys with great tyres which came back just last week and are like brand new now, full set of genuine P38 light guards, genuine P38 front bull bar with lamps, brand new front and rear performance discs and pads, new alloy wheel spacers, new window spoilers, new cd changer, al sorts of lovely and rare P38 extras to make it special so if anyone want to come and look at it all give me a shout. It will all most likely go on ebay too. It all adds up to around £3000 worth of stuff i have.
Cheers

I have watched your story and am gutted for your last let down, kick his arse as much as you can.
But……
You are after a minter, yet you are the 1 who could actually make it a minter;). You are not incapable, most have good bodies anyway so mechanics is easy:).
Don’t lose heart, once you get a good one you won’t turn back.

I spent about 2 years searching to find mine:).

I know a chap in scotland who is selling a beautiful Vogue SE Alveston red with Rowan cherry wood, 100% mechanically..

I'll give him a buzz if you like to see if she's still available?

Get down off that roof at once. Bloody hell Brendon if you didn't have bad luck you'd have none at all, Anyone close to the dealer to take it on a test drive and mistake the accelerator for the brake pedal?;)
I’ll be 5 minutes away from them Friday when I shoot at South Downs. Better leave the shotgun with my buddy when I drop by! I’m always getting the accelerator and brake pedal confused....

The Dumbest Automotive Channel In All Of YouTube

I’ve been a big fan of Hoovies Garage for a few years, sometimes buying a shed and flipping it for a packet, others times buying a supercar that that turns out a basket case. A 2017 Supercharged RR review this week, not my cuppa tea but still, thought it might be of interest to some....

Cheers,
Stu

Just shows they're all a bunch of chancers.

Cheers guys. I am just bewildered as to why these dealers act in the way they do these days.
I have bloody. good money to spend on a superb example BUT i wont pay over the odds for one either BUT i will pay a good fair price for one that ticks all my boxes. No matter how good they look they are still a P38 underneath and will still have issues no doubt. It always seems the so called best ones are just far too far away from me so i leave them alone as been messed about in the past there and had time and money wasted. I still have my eye on a MINT and im telling you guys it really is MINT P38 Westminster with very low miles and its in as new showroom condition albeit needs a few jobs doing which the dealer will gladly do. The only issue is the price. Its far far too much. If he came down a few grand or a couple of grand i might re-look at it again but other than that there is not much out there that tickles my fancy so the search continues albeit is not an active search now.

I have emailed the dealer Ford Mather @ Impression Automotive who has stuffed me over and requested he suitably compensates me but he has gone quiet again so i will seek legal advice on Tuesday on the way ahead. The www is a great place and i will be leaving him a nice review on his website too, LOL.
Look out chaps for the 1999 T reg Oxford Blue P38 - T200LHE on his ebay site and main website. I paid him £6000 for it but i reckon he will re-list it for £8995 now or more the greedy ****.

He also claims its a special edition model and an ex Royal household car BUT has no proof to back this claim up either and i would have been the 10th owner plus its a series 1 model with the older lights on it and has just had some dents pulled out and the sides painted because of a crappy pin stripe on the sides of the car and loads of other stuff he said he had to fix too like Hevac and A/C and other bits and a new windscreen too as it was cracked SO HE SAYS!!!. It was all just delay tactics over a 3 month period in the hope that i would get tired of waiting first which i was determined not to so he started ignoring me and my messages asking for update and delivery date which forced his hand and the reason why he did what he did yesterday without any warning or discussion with me on phone or by email. An absolute tosser in my book and goes right against his so called top grade dealer reviews.

What goes around always comes around in my book.

Regards,
