Still on the starting issues got becm and engine ecu back from Rick all checked out re fitted still not starting no lights on dash not turning over and now not connecting to nanocom I was just going to make sure it’s all synced together I don’t know if it’s any relevance but on leaning to connect nanocom I leaned on horn and it sounded even without key in is this normal I’ve never noticed I’ve it could go off without key in new battery new starter and as good as new becm where to now onwards and upwards help cheers for any thoughts

All fuses good starter turning with direct feed from solenoid to +on battery and tried earth lead direct to engine all still no joy with cranking

Still no lights on dash except it says key in and is making bleeping noises when you turn to position 2 also becm hasn’t anything to do with dash binical not lighting up

If it says "Key is In" then the message centre is working and displaying what the BeCM is telling it to.
Bleeping noises at position 2? but no message? I would expect "Engine Disabled" (or whatever) and enter EKA code on the message centre.
Have you disabled all security with Nanocom now it connects to the car?

Faulty ignition ,or where the wires plug in ,in the steering column go into the connector ,I have found them melted in the connection block other cars in the past

For all those electrical genius on here that have offered help to me with this starting problem I’ve been having I’ve come across one problem to baffle them all nothing on dashboard still except key in message until wait for it ignition relay is removed and it all lights up and bloody starts what the hell is going on many thanks in advance

I think they did but can’t find out what they did about 15 years ago I got locked out on the fob but key worked had engine immobilised alight and eka code rr said it could cost 2000 to put right and didn’t no how long it would take plus they would have to come and collect it so rang a mate with a garage and he collected it and had it running properly before I had even finished a pint he must have bypassed something and it’s never let me down since so assuming that there must be an extra wire just don’t understand how it starts without the ignition relay now
