was gonna say d3’s are incredible if they can tow 2 ton at almost 100mph :D

You know what I kind of rekcon they actually could do that without to much effort, of course you would need enough road for them to get up to speed, say a 20 mile stretch:D

Down the hogs back might do the trick , however an anchor to lob out the window might be useful at the bottom of the hill, lol

After a long lock down and a lot of impediments to travel we finally got in a short 600 km test drive. Prior to this we have blocked off the EGR and replaced both the MAF and MAP sensors. In 600 km we climbed several hills with no problem but on 16 occasions we got the message on the screen "Engine System Fault" followed by a loss of power, the black smoke screen and rapidly rising temperature. Also had one "Special Programs Off" and One "Transmission............" ,wasn't quick enough to read all that one but I think the second word may have been Temperature. In every case the problem was fixed by switching off and restarting. After that the performance was normal and temperature was quickly restored to normal. All this while towing the 2000 kg Caravan. When not towing the car performs to perfection. It's back with the expert with instruction to keep it until absolutely fixed or replaced.

Sounds like it could be a sticking turbo boost control actuator. I had a similar issue with my D3, which turned out to be the boost control actuator.
