I've had my rear left air suspension blow up twice in a row after driving for a longer period (~3-4h), driver + ~100kg in the trunk.

I have a hunch it's due to heat from the exhaust which goes past the bag.

Is it possible my disco is missing some heat shield there?
I tried googling the problem and different exhaust heat shields but couldn't find anything useful.
If there's nothing serial that I'm missing I could insulate the exhaust near it with some heat shield tape.

Input much appreciated

Thanks for the input, seems like an easy enough change so I'll replace it to avoid the airbag exploding again on my way back.

I'm reading that if you disconnect the battery when replacing the system doesn't need a re-calibration, is that correct?
If that's not the case I'd need to leave it and get it replaced at home and hope for the best on the way back.

You are correct. Disconnect the battery, jack it up on the towbracket, not the axle, and replace the sensor. Be careful with the electrical connector, as these break up when old. Then reconnect battery, close all doors, put ignition on pos 2 and it should pump up. Lower jack. If doesn't pump up raise on jack again on towbracket, and this should, everything else being in order, make it raise, and the setting should be saved from previously.

Thank you for the help, I've ordered the part and will attempt the change this week!
