Xenon headlight fail mot

Bad news people
My 2002 L322 failed mot on saturday
The failure sheet says "reduced light intensity"
The xenon lamp lamp is striking ok, and the full beam solenoid is working ok.
The thing I have doubt about is the self levelling stepper motor. I've jacked up the front of the car but tge motor doesn't move.
Any thoughts about the reduced intensity?
Would a failed self levelling mechanism cause it?
How can I test the self levelling mechanism?

Reduced intensity from what i gather beam and patterns fine. Ride height is self levelling thus the beam is kept at the correct height..

Does the failed side look pink at all when its on?
It will either be the bulb or a burned projector bowl.

Put a pic up with your lights on facing the lights and then of the bulbs in question too.

what condition are your lens ?,is there (quote) any product on lens ? as said post a pic ill give you some tips

Could the bulb simply have reached the end of its useful life ?
I replace them in pairs so I know they are the same intensity and colour

I have my old 2002 to 2005 headlights if you want to harvest the projector out of them.

Thanks, that's very kind of you. I've ordered one off ebay but it's not due to arrive until Saturday and I'm a bit nervous that it will also be fried, so come Saturday I may need your offer. Can I arrange to get it collected from you?
If I don't need it and yours works ok, why don't you stick it on ebay, if it doesn't work maybe we can make a good one from the two bad ones and split the ebay proceeds somehow - or else I'll buy you a pint - oh wait .......

Headlight washer didn't work and i kept ballasts and ignitors and bulbs as they're the same as my bmws.
I did a post 2006 facelift so they're just sat gathering dust.
But the projectors and trims and lenses are mint.

If you need/want them pm me you can have them
