Hi to everyone, I am at my witz end, I have a clunking noise from the front. I had the power suspension arms changed, the anti roll bar links, to no avail. I have tried to move all the things I think it could be, but everything seems tight, as it probably would as it is not under load. The Rangey is 18 years old, as the fifth owner, I have no idea how old some of these parts are, or when they were last replaced. It would of course be financial suicide to replace all the parts it could be. I really need your expert guidance, to point me in the direction I should be looking in.

Forward arms have an integrated ball-joint but the rears connect to a seperate ball-joint at the hub, have these been done?
Were the joints tightened with the suspension loaded?

Inner steeering rack arms also worth checking.

Hear many tales of noisy struts also.

That is a really good point, the noise started just after the lower arms were done, I'll ask if they tighten it with the car on the ground.
thanks myfirstl3322

We had one the other week that was make funny noises and the guy was looking at changing the steering rack as that was the only thing that had not just been changed, when pointed out about tightening up the suspension arms with the cars weight on the wheels and that was then done it was all sorted:D it made creaking sounds

Right I have an update, the lower arms were checked, redone with the weight on the them, test drive, still there. After some more investigation, it turns out
to be the "D" bushes that are worn. So, I have ordered two, should be here Friday, then hopefully I am good to go, providing when I am fitting them, it all goes well
wish me luck. Thank you for all your help with this headache.

Id get some new bolts as well. You can get the old ones out most of the time but that one time you don't and you don't have the bolts.....
