So sad for those that have suffered with COVID in 2020, and I send out my thanks to the NHS and “key workers”. But I can’t wait to see the back of COVID in 2021 (vaccine permitting).

Do any of you fancy some green lanes in the new year? Strata Florida, Wayfarer, et al.

I’m not an expert or experienced green laner, so looking for somebody to take the lead also.

Just a thought.

:)

A thousand miles away but I'd go with you if I was there:D..

You more than welcome, anytime here for a forest route or just path finding.
Where we are there are no clubs I've found but there are some good places within a few hours drive.
Once a year there is land legend event.
Bank holiday weekend, three days of off road madness for landys only. Camping, restaurant and music.
Plenty for all talent and equipment levels on the site.
Maybe next year or so if you are out this way. Let us know, we will be going.
Now get that tour booked and you'll be glad you did.
Go out, get dirty and have fun:cool:

Still is

We are planning Coast to Coast, Wales, Lakes weekends and our usual days out in Yorkshire. Might also do a run to Ireland

Hi @suew

Sounds like you will be busy in the new year.

The coast to coast trip would be great to do, I think I’ve seen some videos on YouTube of the same trip?

If you don’t mind people tagging along for part of your outing, let me know and I will try to make sure I can make it.

So now we are coming out of lock down I think we can plan a trip or two, what are your thoughts?

I’m in the North West, so looking for local trips until the b&b’s or campsites open fully.

End of March maybe???

That sounds like a top weekend!! Is there a website we can visit for more info/booking?

There is a risk it could be canceled.
The registration normally starts on April the first.
It's 5.5 hrs for us from just north of Bordeaux.

I won't hold out for 2021, also, I'm taking shared maternity leave for three months, and this would fall smack bang in the middle of it, so couldn't go anyway. However, it does look like a really good event, so plenty of time to plan for 2022, so who knows, maybe see you there.......

I have been on GLASS forum today and they are talking about laning again in May.

“I understand that it is now permissible to organise green road runs under the new rules from Monday 17 May 2021 but with a limit of 30 people”.

I think it still has to be agreed and is subject to what the Gov decides.

Well, if we can't go out and play.. Think of all that diesel money we can save for bits we need when we do go:D:cool:

30 people  that's a bloody big group

Just had an email through from GLASS with current advice. :)
......………………….......................
If you choose to go laning in England after the 29th March the advice is as follows:

· Travel in a group of no more than six people or two families

· Maintain social distancing at all times

· Stay local to minimise travel distance

· Do not cross the border into Wales or from Wales into England, unless you have an essential reason to do so
Residents of Wales must continue to stay at home until further announcements are made on 12th March.

This information could be subject to change before the 29th March. For the latest guidance go to:

England: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

Wales: https://gov.wales/coronavirus

We will provide further updates as things change.

Fu king hell, what can you do in britain at the moment ..
I found a spot of land that was used by a motorway building depot. Took the kids on Sunday morning to go buy a bass and went Into the grounds on the way home... We nearly sunk into an iffy bit of suspiciously flat ground... Ffffffs.. Clawed my way out with shakey hands and we laughed at my stupidity and then proceeded to climb up and down the terrain afterwards. I hope it all lightens up in Englandshire for you all to get out and about doing your stuff;)
