Ford have jumped on the bandwagon now, they are saying they will be all electric by 2030. I'm not sure what that will do to second hand values in say 5 years time. Maybe everyone will rush to buy a ICE car before they stop making them. Prices of defenders went through the roof when they ceased production.

The son in law 's mate bought a Teslar, the big one 18 volt I think.:D he let the s in l have a drive, big mistake ,he floored it and Christ it was fast but the range wouldn't be much :D:D
They are fast i've driven one, they do become boring after a while once you're used to the acceleration

The seats are an issue, very hard which ain't good the one I drove had sports seast or somesuch and when I got in my feet slipped and I landed bollocks first on one of the rock hard bolsters..

It's the bottles rattling in the crates that annoy me.;):D

Can you imagine all these electric cars parked in a road of terraced houses with wires across the pavement and better still, everyone comming home from work, plug car in,kettle and heating etc on.Where do they thing the electricity is comming from, renewable is great but can you produce enough?
I kinow NUCLEAR but wait, that take 20 years to build a new station!!!!!
What happens when you come to sell your 3 year old electric car which probably needs a battery change, better to give it away and cut your loss.
Me I prefer my V8

The answer has to be find a way of generating the the power needed to propel the car on the car, a liquid could be kept in a tank and topped up when needed and be burnt in some way to generate the power

Hydrogen is the way forward. The batteries for EV are a nightmare for the environment and most electric is still from fossil fuels.

I had relatives who lived in a tower block, I don't know how many flats there were but it was 24 floors. There only seemed space outside for about 20 cars. God knows where everyone parked.

And then there's the environmental impact of all the lithium mines for batteries, and copper mines for the upgraded electrical supplies. They are simply moving the pollution somewhere else.

Lampposts are too far apart to provide sensible charging points, so I'm sure there will be extension leads down lots of streets !!

Would still like to see what happened to that EV P38 after the Irish fella on YouTube returned it to the real owner.
