Does anyone know if I can replace blade fuses with circuit breakers and the fuse box cover still fits ? Defender 300 TDI

Never seen them before they look pretty good idea though.

As for will they fit I don't know but do they spec a physical size in the blurb.

Where from ?

The merc trucks have them, they seem to be more resiistant to very short term shock loadings as we never see them, the other makes of trucks are always around for fuses after connecting to a trailer.
So yes they seem a good idea, but possibly overkill unless you have an issue/feuatre that causes fuses to blow often enough.

@marjon
Autoelectricalsupplies are the supplier I was looking at, there are many other sources
I don't have an issue but as I'm restoring my vehicle it would be a worthy upgrade I think, if the fuse box cover fits ok

@marksman , is there a reason why you want to fit cct breaker type fuses? There's rarely a genuine need to use them and they can be super sensitive, tripping, when in fact there's nothing wrong with the field wiring/component. If your wiring and cct components are in correct/good condition and has the correct fuse size there should be no need for cct breaker/trip type fuses.

the trouble with circuit breaker are that it's too easy to reset them when a fault is present hoping it will go away and cause further damage

They are very handy when you are trying to work out an interment fault and keep blowing fuses, means you don't run out of fuses before you find the problem.. I have a couple of cheap knock offs for that and carry one in my tool kit as a "get me home" fix.
