Well I have had yet another look today.

I have gone direct to the EDM in the engine and connected to the pink cable (Connector C0603) and to the pink cable at the OBD port and still no joy, none of the code readers will connect to the EDM.

I have power to the OBD Socket
I have 2 Earths to the OBD Socket
1 of the Pink cables read the ABS and Immobiliser
Just nothing reading from the EDM at all.

Could it be the EDM, if so it it easy to just swap with another or do other components need to be changed with it?

I'm not sure exactly, but the EDM and immobiliser ECU are coded together. That presumably means the transducers in the keys are coded. Not sure if the CCU is linked to them, if so the remotes are also coded.

You'd need to investigate.
