Custom work

I am building a custom truck based on a Range rover chassis and body, I have come to the stage about working upon a new dashboard and clocks. I would like to replace the original Non working 92 RRC speedo etc with more traditional clocks set in a custom surround. Ive found a nice set of Jaeger Riley clocks that would be perfect, or some series clocks. Did Jaeger clocks built for Austins or series Landys have the same cables and connections. How hard would it be if they dont to adapt and get them working?

Old analogue dashboards are easy, as clocks would have simple wiring, so should be easy to make work, regardless of the make.

Speedos have a turns per miles set up and they are all different some have it marked on the back, there are places that will sort it out for you or i believe you can get geared boxes that go at the back and the cable connects to it.

Thanks for the rep;y! Yes of course I did not think of that initially! I am also unsure about cables. My original thought was to fit a Series Speedo in, knowing that the cable will fit at both ends. But they are very expensive and as I already have clocks I was hoping to make them fit! But do not know anywhere that could potentially make a cable up for me if the ports are different to Landrover clocks?

I have a nice set of Austin Gypsy clocks, The oil and water temp clock appears to be a simple job of wiring. (If I can bypass the RR dash circuit board, wiring is not my strongpoint but we all have to learn somewhere). I figured the speedo would be easy as its just a straight cable from T/B to clock. Providing the cable fitment at the clock end is universal for many old British clocks?

The outer will have specific ends, but you can swap these with a bitt of fettling, the inner you can get a longer one and form the ends. Go on some of the hot-rod sites as they do a lot of swapping of instruments.
