My exhausts back then must have been good as I am deaf as a post now, shotguns and motorbikes didn't help.

I'm still on motor bikes

I'm still riding motorbikes and I have a 12g, learnt to shoot with a .303 lee Enfield no ear protection back in the day.

There is a rangie owner down our road, I don't know what sort of exhaust it has but it sounds like he is dragging a metal dustbin up the road, it sounds horrible. Everytime he goes past, our dog runs for cover. It must be a family thing cos his teenage son rides a scooter with no exhaust.

I do not like the straight through exhausts they don't sound right in my opinion but who am I to judge, I am like you Dave still riding bikes and still shooting probably too late but I wear hearing protection now but never did years ago.

No bikes now but same with the shooting,.
