What did you do with your Range Rover today

Had a look for the slight and intermittent water leak into the rear quarter where @gold rover suggested on another thread.

Found one missing push in type clip which leaves a hole in the car body where it should clip into and all the centre locking pins missing from the black clips (you know the ones)

I found a spare clip I had lying around from somewhere and printed some new centre pins for the black clips

Don't think I'll need to wait long too see if it's worked.

I wanted to get the D Pillar covers off to check for a water leak path and managed to remove the 4 black plugs but failed to pull the larger 4 trim clips. They’re holding on so well I gave up after an hour. Perhaps not the best idea at 3 deg C so may take a hair dryer to it tomorrow. Failing that I’ll get violent and break them.
The picture below is the best water path I’ve been able to find as the boot was dried out and car stood for 24 hours. The prime suspect has to be down the D pillar.

Any helpful hints greatly appreciated. Wish me luck.
Tricky

Mines no where near that bad, looks like you need to start removing trim to trace that one.
I have a plastic set of trim remover tools but I think I’ll have to invest in more significant kit to get those D panels off without breaking the rear window or my fingers. God knows why LR though it needed 4 Clips to hold it in place.
Tricky.

I went shopping and got it a new battery, hopefully the FBH will get going in the morning now.

GAP IID stated the battery state of charge was only 46%.

Cheers

Well i was going to hopefully buy a minter P38 tomorow as a second attempt after the first disaster i encountered BUT the selling dealer has just rang me to say after all the prep of the car today with a fresh M.O.T yesterday which passed 100%, and 5 new tyres fitted this morning and a fresh service carried out the engine has decided to start leaking oil and he cant find out from where. I am gutted but also playing it safe so i have decided not to go ahead and he has refunded me my deposit in full.

Big sigh of relief and i think i will now just give up on my dream of owning a P38 now. Gutted. There was no way i could have gone through a second engine disaster again.

I dont know why you just dont buy something that needs work on it, and you fix it up, better than buying a mint one, you made it yours then
