Hydraulic pipe doesn't fit new clutch cylinder

So, having found the old favourite black sludge in the clutch master cylinder I decided to replace master and slave, so put in the order with Paddock.
After my initial dismay at unexpectedly getting Britpart parts for both, I went ahead with the job anyway. The master went in fine, but I couldn't fit the slave as the thread size for the hydraulic pipe is wrong.
So my question is, what adapter do I need? This can't be an uncommon problem, so why doesn't the new one come with one, but more confusingly, why doesn't Paddock appear to sell them? Interestingly, the old master cylinder already had such an adapter on it and the new master also needed it.

obviously you ordered the wrong slave or pipe work is wrong ,masters do have an adapter slaves dont

Ok so yes, it does look like I ordered the wrong cylinder, although I thought the difference(s) between cylinders for LT77 and R380 boxes made them completely unable to be fitted to the wrong box? The cylinder I have definitely fits my R380 box and is the same shape and size as the original, it's just the pipe thread which appears wrong.

I have a different problem now anyway. I still can't easily get the right cylinder for my box because it has no serial number plaque on it - I don't mean I just can't read it, it's actually not there! I do recall the previous owner saying he'd had it replaced at some point, so I can't even go by the VIN or anything to guess which R380 it is! Of the two main options, how can you tell which cylinder is the right one? I'm told they look very similar so what are the actual differences between them?

@Peep110 , the slave for LT77 and R380 are interchangeable...and are used across a wide variety of cars, Rover, TVR, Morgan, LR et al, though the thrust arm [cranked or straight] to rod lengths may change slightly. But, as you've found out the female slave thread is not the same on all manufacturers specs...and the suppliers aren't fully aware of this/they think they're sending out the right part. I've recently installed an AP slave cylinder on mine with the same problem. I need to take a closer look on sizes but I think the original LR slave is imperial UNF, many of the replacements are metric. It's easy to fix, either 1. buy a new flexible, 2. fit an adaptor.

I'm going to buy another braided hose, either Goodridge or Terrafirma...but still need to confirm thread size & pitch. Try offering up some spare bolts until you find the right size then confirm this with the new flexible hose supplier.

You don't say what you have.
Guess at this one.
Really depends on what you own.

With all due respect Gmacz, you'll see from the previous dialogue that it doesn't really help to know what I own, the gearbox is definitely an R380 but not the original so could have come from Sainsburys for all I know! The cylinder will most likely be either be the 5072 (as you say), or the 5202. What is the difference between them though? Does anyone actually know?

What part did you buy, it will be the other one.
What engine is your r380 connected to.
Did you buy the 5072.
The difference is one will fit and the other one won't.

ftc5072 has a steel pipe between slave and flexi, ftc5202 has flexi direct

Right, thanks @jamesmartin, my flexi goes straight to the cylinder (hence my original query about it not fitting!) so in that case I need the 5202!
I actually got neither @Gmacz, I ended up with paddock spares part 591231 which (apart from the pipe thread) appears to be identical to what I have but doesn't seem to have either FTC number associated with it?

591231 was used on series 3 boxes then the lt77 ,theres no letters as its an early number, all the slaves will bolt up but either pipe fittings wrong or stroke
