Not a lot. Good to see you popping in on a regular basis ;).
Got to be nosy every now & then!
Sad to see nobody has been active on this thread and carried on the fun stories and photos on a regular basis!
Same amount of people using the forum still or have the Facebook pages taken a lot of the internet traffic?
Not relevant to the Greenlaning topic I know but the fact it’s been 3 years since the last post I’m not worried ;)

It’s dying. A bit like local laning, really. I haven’t been out for over a year.
Guessing it’s just a small group of like minded owners joining forums like these nowadays?
The Facebook groups are full up of the same repetitive questions you’d normally end up replying to on a weekly basis on here! :D
As for the laning it is a shame. Has been ruined from how it used to be thanks to the idiots trashing them.
Working on a farm we have a WhatsApp group of all the local land owners/farmers/gamekeepers etc around your area near Basingstoke and the amount of trouble they’re getting from people on the lanes is ridiculous. They had two metal gateways smashed off last week where a permanent lane closure is. The local travellers use the lanes to get onto farmers grounds for poaching.
It’s an absolute nightmare. Gone are the old fun Sunday trips out.

I'm still here now and then, since moving from Surrey to Sussex I haven't been laning and really miss it, it was my way if relaxation. Since moving the family has grown in both people and landys, I guess one side doesn't want to feel left out.

Look forward to laning again one day, well over due.

I think you’re right about a lot of forum users moving to Facebook. It’s given wider access to greenlaning, including to irresponsible users, sad to say.

The travellers use the lanes and fields for hare coursing, if it’s anything like our local ones do. Keep reporting it to the police.

I still pop into the forum from time to time, sold the Audi last year a got myself a Skoda Yeti 4x4 with the Haldex 5 system, supposed to be quite good off road, but I've been instructed that it's never to be used for laning.
To be fare it was brought as a tow car, and having been remaped to 200bhp it does that very well.

Yes a lot has changed over the last few years with lanes. Mine won’t be for anything off-road really except fields, just a second vehicle for the shop run and an investment! Defender prices seem to just to be going up & up! Sold the disco 4 for a good price whilst i could, the price has just been dropping away like mad with them!
