Discovery 2 heated screen, nanocom needed near hertford

Morning,

Have a D2 with heated screen fitted but not working. Been through fault finding and convinced it's not a factory fit, so needs turning on

Anyone local to hertford with a nanocom, ?
Obviously willing to pay.

I tried that a few years back when the insurance were changing the screen, I asked the fitter to 'replace' a heated screen for a bit of added winter convenience. The loom was there, put in the relay and tried to switch it on with the diagnostics, we could see it and test switch it but it never stayed switched once unplugged, I never did get to the bottom of it I'll be interested to see if anyone here knows what the fix is, we tried Nanocom and the garage's laptop which wasn't a proper 'testbook' but otherwise could do everything the Nano could.

I have a non working heated screen too, will watch with great interest

If the HFS is disabled the switch will not illuminate, if it does the problem is elswhere

So the switch will light up when turning it on?

I've got climate/air con fitted,
Tested everything and not getting the switched earth to the relay, so was assuming it was an easy fix!
Not so sure now though!

I have contacted black box, who assure me that the nanocom can enable the heated screen in the BCU
