Was just wondering if anyone has changed their whole system recently and if you experienced any problems with removal or re-fitting clearance on the front CATALYST down pipe which bolts to the Turbo???

I have my RR currently on 4 metal car ramps with the suspension set at max height giving me about 2 foot of ground clearance underneath. Was lying under the car today thinking and studying the front CATALYST pipe when it dawned on me that i might have an issue removing it and replacing the new pipe considering its a one piece pipe with a few bends in it.

Any advice is appreciated as always.

From memory, you need to support the gearbox and remove the cross member. Then you can just drop the exhaust straight out.

Not sure about that. I'm trying to remember what I did. I seem to remember undoing everthing and tgen it corkscrewing out somehow. I certainly had the axle stands as high as they could go.
Oh ok then. Maybe i wont have to remove the bloody cross member after all then. I will give that a try once the new CAT pipe arrives. I have her on 4 x metal ramps and suspension set up high so at least about 2 foot of ground clearance under there. The CAT pipe coming off is stamped Landrover and has the big wire guaze flexi joint on it between the CATALYST and the Turbo mounting point albeit the new pipe is a rigid pipe non OEM.

Cheers

You can get the cat sections out of the v8 without removing the Crossmember, dunno about the diesel, but as Grrrr says you probably could if you twisted it around enough. ;)

I'm sure I didn't drop it. Mine's the manual, of course. Can never remember until I get under there. I've a vague memory I had to move something. Might have been the prop? Or one end of the prop? And I definitely remember turning it and feeding it over the cross-member and out the side.
