I have got the task of replacing the power steering pipes how do you get the pipe off the metal section behind the driver side wheel ( vehicle is a 2009 reg ) it’s not mine but my dads ( as I own a 2004 disco 2 and a L322 )

It doesn’t say how to get the pipe off

Darren the photos show you how, you use an Allen key to remove the bracket from the steering column, if the power steering hose as to be removed as well that it done from the power steering pump,

if you are finding it hard to follow the photos then may i suggest you take it to a garage.

Unfortunately I only work on L322 and discovery’s never worked on freelander and cannot take it into work as I’m off it’s only the high pressure to replace but cannot get it moving on the bottom

Darren all the joints will be either Allen key, torx, or normal bolt/nut, its a case of following the pipes backwards and changing them out, take a photo of any parts you get stuck on and post them up. ;)
