P38A PX door won't open

Hello all. It would seem my px door has somehow managed to superlock itself, or whatever Rod has become disconnected.

I had disconnected the battery a while back to strip the car. All doors were working fine. I'd go round them and lock them from the inside then use the key for the drivers door at the end of any work I was doing. Now, somehow, the door won't open from the inside or out no matter how many times I toggle the knob.

I haven't connected up the battery yet as I'm still sorting bits but the problem is, I can't easily get the carpet back to where it should be without the door open. It needs to love forwards (towards the car) a good few inches and try as I might, I can't get it to budge.

Any ideas how I can open the door without connecting the battery yet?

Why are you so reluctant to connect battery to get door open?

Got half the stuff disconnected, BECM isn't in yet, etc et.

ah that will be a problem.

All I can suggest is that you put everything back together on drivers side/center console, so you can then connect it all up, or you have to destroy the Pax door card

Does the BECM pulse a voltage on the "open side" or is it something silly and the power is supplied from the outstation +supply???????

Not actually sure to be honest, haven't gone that deep into it yet.

Surely it cant superlock without power?
Must be a rod disconnected in door methinks

It's back open once the battery was connected.

What's a px door? Is it a front door that's been taken in part exchange for a trap door.

the door has superlocked and got jammed your gonna have to remove door panel remove motor off the latch and push the lever over to release it then you will need a replacement latch

Doors cannot superlock with battery disconnected.
