300tdi immobiliser grief

Hello all I have a 1997 300tdi manual d1 the immobiliser is giving me grief iv took dash apart I have no spider unit the chips broken in the fob I use it off roading the green box underneath the glove box has been soaked in mud and water a number of times I think times came to get rid of the agro. Iv looked at the fuel pump I have a tamper proff box with 3 wires am I right in thinking smash this off there is a standard cut off selinoid underneath if so connect it to the ignition live? Starter solinoid that can be wired straight up to the starter relay? Many thanks for the help

Your warm, but not hot enough.
Anyway, if you can still start the engine without the spider immobiliser, a waterlogged security ECU and an iffy fob why bother?
