link for sticky stuff to hold front glass in door top

Hi can anyone tell me what the black sticky stuff is called that holds the front glass in the door tops? Bought new ones from Bearmach and had to dismantle for paint and made a mess of the original.

I did try to search but obviously using the incorrect search criteria

rather than just using mastic would rather try and get strips of the stuff.

I've always used butyl tape.

I have heard some people use Sikaflex, but I haven’t myself so can’t comment on how good it is .

It used to be dum dum sealant in a tin but been discontinued on eBay they have dum dum tape similar to above

Have the glass runners got screws fitted?
If not dum dum will not hold them in place , good for sealing if screws fitted though.

yes the runners have screws.
