Hello to all
I have a challenge for you..
My 2004 HSE TD 4always start and runs like a dream....
Today due to a water leak i took everything out all the panels etc.
After taking all out i started the car so i can open the sun roof to drop some hot water and vinegar on the leak points all good.
2 hours later i tried to start the car to close the sun roof....and guess. Its cranks but it does not star..
nothing but clean the sun roof was made and now the car cranks but nothing
ANY IDEAS???!!!!!

the only thing i have notice is you don't see the glow plugs light when you turn on the ignition ....

By saying you removed all panels, what panels exactly?
Everything inside the car. Seats, center console, all carpets.
The fact is when I had all out , I wanted to clear the sun roof drain holes and I started the car to open the roof and it run perfectly. It run for like 5 min (I let it run for a wile). Then I turn it off.
Like a few hours later to close the sun roof I have noticed it was closing was a bit slow. So I try to start the car and it cranked (and it was a fast crank , not a slow one like the battery was low) but it didn't start like there was no fuel for two times it sounded like it was going to start but no.
I took the battery and its charging during night. Just to clear my mind.

Can you hear the fuel pump at the back of the car running, when the ignition turned on?

If not then check the fuel cutoff sensor between the engine bay fuse box and bulkhead. Press the red button on the top of the sensor. If it clicks, then it's tripped, and should restore fuel pump function.

If it's not the fuel cutoff, and the pump can be heard running, then it could be the rail sensor has corrosion of the contacts, or even the pressure regulator O rings have failed, the timing of which is probably coincidental.

ITS ALIVEEEEEE!!!
This morning I put the battery back inside and I crank it no joy. I could ear the fuel pump working on the back.
Then i have noticed that the commo rail plug was a bit dirty so I have removed it and used some contact cleaner, I also cleaned the camshaft sensor...
Cranked it and it started right up, like he always does.
I went to ear the fuel pump and I could ear it. It was running and there was a tack tack tack every second but after a wile its stopped and I let it un for 10 min.
Then I turn it off and start it again. Started like a champion.
So I guess yesterday when I washed the radiators some water or duty found its way inside the plugs.
So I am a happy bunny again.
Many thanks to ALL

Yes he did. but it was a coincidence , because I washed the radiators from out side there was no water inside the engine bay just a few drops on the covers..
But the truth is its running.
Thank you all...till next time........

If I'm pressure washing at the front, or in the engine bay, I tend to have the engine warm and running to help dry out errant splashes and take the car for a quick run out afterwards, hoping the engine heat helps to prevent this sort of problem.
